  2. Paintbrush
  3. Piping Bag

Steps To Make Best Hot Chocolate Bombs

Step 1:

Chop the dark chocolate as finely as you can. Now, heat water in a pan and place a bowl containing 50g dark chocolate over it. Heat it till the chocolate comes to a thick consistency.

You can also microwave the chocolate to melt it. Your melted hot dark chocolate is ready! Make sure you’re using good quality dark chocolate.

Step 2:

Take 1tbsp of chocolate & pour in each of the hemispherical moulds. Coat every edge of each mould with the chocolate using a paintbrush.

This will be the first coat of chocolate. Just eyeball it, try to get it as even as you can.

Now, after each mould is coated in a thin layer of chocolate, keep the mould in the fridge for 5 minutes to chill.

Step 3:

After taking it out from the fridge, you need to apply the second coat of chocolate again on the top edges. Basically do the same exact thing as you did in Step 2. This will strengthen the top edge.

After you’ve painted your 2nd layer of chocolate, put the mould back in the fridge for 10 minutes until the chocolate is fully set.

Step 4:

Now take out the chocolate shells from the mould carefully without breaking them.

If you’re using a silicone mould, then it’s easy to pull the shells out as these moulds are really squishy.

Now pull the mould on the sides so that it becomes easier for the shells to come out. Be careful while doing these. Don’t rush. Be patient. Now gently push and take the shells out. You’ll be making chocolate spheres out of these shells.

Use the back of the silicone mould to hold the shells. Assemble the rest of the shells in the same way.

Step 5:

Now’s the stuffing time. Add 1 tsp of Tiggle hot chocolate mix and ¼ cup of marshmallows inside the shell. It’s time now to fuse your chocolate shells together.

Heat a pan on medium-high for 15-30 seconds. Gently place a shell in an inverted shape on the pan for 3-4 sec and lift immediately.

Note: This step is done to level the edges so that when you join the other shell on top of it, there is no gap and you get a seamless sphere.

Put it on top of the shell that has hot chocolate mix and marshmallows and gently push down. It’d immediately stick because of the melted chocolate. If there is some extra chocolate, gently wipe it off.

Now repeat the same procedure for other shells.

Let’s decorate them now. 😍

Step 6:

To decorate, put the melted white chocolate in a piping bag. (A piping bag is the same bag that’s used to make Jalebis.)

Now drizzle a little bit on top of each chocolate bomb. Design it the way you like. Just wait about 5 minutes, let the white chocolate settle down.

Here you go, your hot chocolate bombs are ready!
